Kevin Harvick claims Kyle Larson 'is not worried about making a mistake' during races

Hendrick Motorsport’ Kyle Larson proved yet again why he is regarded as the greatest racer of his generation last Sunday at Kansas. He beat rival RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher with a 0.001 second gap on the finish line, which is the closet finish ever in the history of the sport. Larson’s aggressive and calculated risk taking was a major factor for the win.

Kyle Larson re-started in the second raw in over-time and he first made the move on race leader Denny Hamlin by squeezing him in the middle and killing the No:11 drivers’ momentum. Then he shifted focussed to Chris Buescher, and hunt him down by running close to the wall. He them slammed the NO:17 RFK Ford enough on the final turn to slow him down and score the win.

While talking about the wild race finish, ex-NASCAR Cup champion Kevin Harvick highlighted standout factor that helped Larson to win. He pointed out that the No:5 Chevy Camero ZL1 driver isn’t concerned about making mistakes, so he takes risks others are not ready for and it delivered result on Sunday.

Kyle Larson is just willing to do things that other people aren’t. He’s not worried about making a mistake. If he would have crashed right there and spun out and finished as the last car on the lead lap, he would have been fine with it. Like, it’s not gonna affect him. Kevin Harvick highlights what makes Kyle Larson different

Harvick asserted that even if things had gone south at Kansas, Larson would’ve been okay with it. He pointed out that the HMS driver is someone who is willing to take the extra risks and is capable of getting over it, by not letting it affect his confidence, if he messes up.

That’s the thing that strikes me the most about Kyle Larson being different than everyone else. If he makes a mistake by going for it, it’s not gonna faze his confidence. Kevin Harvick said.

The ex-SHR driver is spot on with his assessment of Kyle Lason. The 2021 Cup champion is infamous for taking huge risks and that’s the reason why he often tops the list of DNFs at the end of the season. This attitude helped him to earn the success he has had in different racing series’ he has been a part of.
